On Giving Tuesday, help reach the lost through establishing a ministry center in the heart of an unreached city where Christians represent less than 3% of the population.
The South Asia Ministry Center is a launch pad to preach the gospel and make disciples throughout a spiritually dark city—and nation—gripped by idolatry.
Despite the challenges, God is at work. By his grace, ABWE workers have been able to reach thousands of individuals through church planting, leadership development, campus outreach, and slum ministries in South Asia.
One young man, Krishna, arrived in the city as a child laborer, sent by his father to earn money for his impoverished family. He longed to return to his studies in the open-air village school instead of working long shifts in the factory.
Krishna slept in a local slum. Through ABWE missionaries Paul and Hannah’s ministry providing medical care and educational programs in the community, they noticed the inquisitive young boy. Hearing of his eager desire to study, they advocated for Krishna’s admittance to a local school, provided the necessary resources, and enrolled him at the ministry’s tutoring center.
Krishna thrived in school, eventually graduating college and achieving employment at a multinational corporation. More importantly, he attended an ABWE church plant, where he heard the gospel for the first time. Originally from a Hindu background hostile toward Christianity, Krishna’s heart softened, and he surrendered his life to Christ.
Krishna and his wife Sita—who was also saved through the ministry’s educational program—now receive training at the South Asia Ministry Center and serve as church planters among the unreached.
These church planters, along with the ABWE team, have a tremendous opportunity to share the gospel among the 519 unreached people groups in their city. But in order to expand their impact, they desperately need a centralized base for the ministry center. They have identified a property in a strategic location, but to purchase it, they must raise an additional $200,000. With your help through a Giving Tuesday donation, they can get closer toward purchasing the property—and presenting the gospel message to thousands more in their city.
Any gift made using the link below before midnight on Giving Tuesday (December 3) will be directed to the South Asia Ministry Center fund.
