Merry Christmas from ABWE!
Christmas is such a joyous season. As we travel around the world to encourage, support, and see what God is doing on the fields where ABWE missionaries serve, even in spiritually dark areas you can see hints of Christmas at this time of the year.
While Christmas has become commercialized, brightly colored, and gift wrapped in many parts of the world, we as believers know the truth. We celebrate the incarnate God. The birth of the savior of the world. In Colossians 1:15-16 tells us:
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
In the birth of a small, helpless baby boy over 2,000 years ago, we have been given God in human flesh. He is the firstborn of us all and because of who he is, we can go into the nations, despite sinful powers, authorities, and rulers, and proclaim the gospel to the lost.
As followers of Christ, we provide hope to the world. Just as Christ first provided hope to us.
Thank you for supporting global missions and bringing light and hope to a dark world.
Merry Christmas,
Paul and Martha Davis
