ABWE’s Partnership With Founders Ministries
Partnering to Equip Missionaries With Conviction
ABWE and Founders Seminary are partnering to champion biblically grounded, local church-driven theological education for the global mission field.
The partnership between ABWE and Founders Seminary is built on shared convictions: the authority of Scripture, the centrality of the gospel, and the primacy of the local church in missions. Together, we aim to see more faithful men and women equipped to take the gospel across cultures with theological clarity, pastoral wisdom, and unwavering conviction.
For nearly 100 years, ABWE has been helping churches send missionaries to the nations. Founders Seminary, launched by Founders Ministries, exists to recover the gospel and reform churches through rigorous, doctrinally sound theological education. Both organizations are committed to training believers to love the church, teach the Word, and engage culture without compromise.
Missionaries serving with ABWE who are accepted into the seminary can apply for a scholarship, thanks to the generosity of a scholarship foundation committed to theological education and global mission.
Through this partnership, ABWE and Founders are building new pathways for theological development—especially for those on the frontlines of missions—while holding fast to the authority of Scripture and the sufficiency of Christ in all things.
A Partnership Rooted in Shared Commitments:
- Theologically Rich: Gospel-centered training grounded in the historic Christian faith.
- Local Church Driven: A shared commitment to the church as the sending agent for global missions, for the purpose of planting biblical and distinctively baptistic churches.
- Practitioner-Led: Training from pastors and missionaries who are actively serving on the field.
- Global in Scope: Designed to equip those called to engage unreached peoples and hard places with boldness and grace.
This partnership is launching first through a fully online Master of Arts in Cultural Apologetics & Missions.
- The full degree is open to ABWE missionaries and missionaries from other approved organizations.
- The certificate and audit options are available exclusively to ABWE missionaries.
- Full scholarships for ABWE missionaries are available thanks to a generous donor.
- Additional specialization tracks—such as Bible Translation and TESOL—are currently in development.
Pursue Training That Prepares You for the Frontlines
We believe sound doctrine is not a luxury for the mission field but a necessity. And through this alliance, we’re excited to multiply laborers who know the Word, love the church, and are unafraid to stand firm in the truth of the gospel, wherever God sends them.
