Everyone is told to have empathy for one another. But when does empathy go wrong? Joe Rigney and Allie Beth Stuckey have recently asked this question. How are we supposed to empathize with others when it is contrary to God’s purposes? Before we climb into the proverbial pit with someone else, it is important to remember what the Bible says about empathy, sympathy, and compassion.
