The Opportunity
ABWE exists to fulfill the Great Commission by multiplying leaders, churches, and missions movements among every people.
As our Executive Administrator for Global Ministries, you’ll play a vital role in advancing the vision, priorities, and daily work of the Global Ministries department. Serving as an extension of the Vice President of Global Ministries, you’ll help create the organizational capacity needed for effective leadership by anticipating needs, coordinating initiatives, facilitating communication, and removing obstacles.
This is more than a traditional administrative role. You’ll help translate vision into action by connecting missionary leaders, organizational leadership, ministry coordinators, and headquarters staff. Your work will help ensure that strategic initiatives, ministry opportunities, and key decisions are carried out with excellence, wisdom, and a clear focus on the mission.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a trusted partner to the Vice President of Global Ministries, helping advance priorities, coordinate initiatives, and maintain momentum on key projects.
- Manage calendars, meetings, events, speaking engagements, communications, and follow-up.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel logistics.
- Help plan and execute major conferences and ministry events.
- Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and briefing materials.
- Support departmental budgeting, policy communication, and administrative processes.
- Review and prioritize information, ensuring timely communication and follow-through.
- Represent the Vice President in meetings as needed, documenting decisions and next steps.
- Handle sensitive matters with discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with internal teams on ministry communications, presentations, and special projects.
What You Bring
- An associate’s degree in business, office management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience supporting senior-level leadership.
- Management or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage highly confidential information.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new technologies and platforms.
- Experience with domestic or international travel coordination; previous international travel is helpful.
- The ability to travel domestically approximately two to three weeks per year, with occasional international travel as needed.
- The ability to successfully complete all required background checks and clearances mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
