Supervisor: Director of Facilities

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Job Summary/Primary Role: Performs preventative maintenance and repair of facilities and systems to provide a safe, clean and comfortable working environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains and repairs the physical plant including, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, and well-water systems.

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems operations and machinery operations.

  • Ability to operate various types of construction equipment.

  • Assists departmental efforts in building construction and repair projects; some carpentry experience required.

  • Assists in maintaining grounds; mows and trims designated areas with proper equipment.

  • Assists in winter snow removal; plowing, shoveling, snow-blowing, salting.

  • Coordinates and assists in event set-ups, including on and off campus events.

  • Assists with building opening and closing procedures.

  • Orders cleaning supplies.

  • Assists with building cleaning, including proper use of cleaning chemicals, as needed.

  • Facilitates vehicle preventative maintenance services.

  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass background check and all necessary clearances as mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

  • Valid Driver’s License

Education: High School diploma or GED

Minimum Prior Experience Required: Previous related experience
