The Position

Do you have a love for the outdoors and a heart to share the hope of the gospel with those who need it most? ABWE’s team in the Mediterranean needs your help. As a camp ministry leader, you’ll serve alongside local congregations in the land of the Bible, engaging open-hearted campers and their families with fellowship, adventure, and deeper conversations about faith. Like all our Mediterranean teammates, you’ll live as a full-time student—learning the language and culture even as you serve.

The Need

People from all walks of life live in the Mediterranean. You’ll find that immigrants and refugees comprise a large portion of the population — a population of people who desperately need God’s love as they seek asylum or a path to citizenship. The number of churches in the Mediterranean is growing, and our team seeks believers and spiritual leaders who can disciple and train those with open hearts.

The Impact

Around a campfire, walls come down. Camp creates the kind of unhurried space where real friendships form and where campers and families feel free to ask their deepest questions about God. Few settings on earth open hearts the way camp does—and in a region where centuries of history stand between people and the message of Jesus, that is no small thing.
