The Position
We have opportunities in Toronto for people to help start, operate, manage, and serve at a community center that offers services to unreached people in the local community. Our plan is to establish a café, open clothing and food stores, offer meeting spaces, and provide various other services to serve the needs of the people and build redemptive relationships with them. We are focused on serving and reaching Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs.
The Need
The Open Toronto Initiative exists to reach and disciple unreached people groups in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). There are more than 8 million people living in the GTA. 53% of these people were born outside of Canada. Many of them come from places where there is no Gospel witness. They are unreached. We have the privilege of serving them, loving them, building relationships with them, and bringing them into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Impact
This is unprecedented. Never before have so many unreached people groups been brought into close proximity with the Gospel. This is no accident. God brought the nations to North America so we can reach them for His glory. As Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs come to Christ in Toronto, they share their newfound faith in Jesus with their neighbors in Canada and with family and friends in their homeland. God is calling people to engage with people from every nation, tribe, and language. You could be part of it!
