The Position:
Reaching Africa’s Unreached (RAU) is actively seeking a dedicated grounds and maintenance worker to help maintain its campus and Demonstration farm in Northern Uganda, close to the South Sudan border. This position is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in building repairs, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical repairs, and general maintenance. Those with agricultural skills are needed as well. Both seasoned professionals and younger applicants with these talents are strongly encouraged to step up and contribute to ensuring that the campus and farm remain safe, functional, and prepared for impactful ministry.
The Need:
RAU has a 25-acre demonstration farm and several buildings that require ongoing care. The campus includes homes for long-term missionaries, housing for short-term teams, and sleeping quarters for pastors who come for multi-day training modules. Each part of the property supports gospel work in practical ways. These buildings, tools, vehicles, and grounds require regular care and upkeep to allow the outreach ministry to function.
The Impact:
This role helps create a place where long-term and short-term missionaries and visiting ministry teams can stay. This role also helps RAU host Ugandan/Sudanese church leaders stay for multi-day teaching modules. Your skills help provide a safe and functioning location for other gospel workers to focus on teaching, discipling, and sharing the good news of Jesus. By maintaining the campus, you are an integral part of a ministry that trains leaders and serves local churches. Practical work like this provides an opportunity for lasting gospel impact.
