Head of Schools

The Position

If you are an experienced educator and a committed Christian who has been searching for a way to share your love for Christ, then we have a place for you. Our well-established K-12 school in North Africa seeks a Head of School to lead an American-style curriculum enriched with the history and culture of the region. With ABWE, you can educate and disciple international students with the power of knowledge and God’s grace.

As Head of School, you will:

• Bring a Masters degree in Education or Administration to your work in North Africa, plus a minimum of five years of experience as an administrator in an American school, and ACSI and State certification requirements
• Share your experience working with international or cross-cultural students
• Supervise elementary and secondary school principals and the staff working for them
• Be able to pay for or supplement your living expenses independently
• Have a passion for supporting and training the next generation of Christian workers

The Need

North Africa lies within the 10/40 Window, which is a region named after its location between 10 degrees and 40 degrees north of the equator. It contains many unreached people groups and has governments hostile to Christianity. But through God’s grace, doors are opening in North Africa that were once firmly shut. Violence, poverty, and struggle permeate life in North Africa, leaving its people in desperate need of Jesus’ hope. As an ABWE teammate in North Africa, you’ll provide vital services to the region’s residents who desperately needs someone to show them the love of Jesus Christ.

The Impact

Your opportunity to make a spiritual impact in North Africa is great. Many of the region’s families, who initially expressed reservations about serving in the area because of safety and education concerns, say they stay largely because of the quality of our school. Through your service, you’ll also enable teammates and other tent-makers to serve the community, provide necessary services, build relationships, and share the truth of the Scripture.
