The Position

The youth of Germany have specific spiritual needs. If you have a passion for working with adolescents, ABWE needs your help. As the youth ministry leader on our team, you will:

• Bring energy, creativity and enthusiasm to your ministry and draw teens to Christ
• Demonstrate outstanding leadership and organizational skills that assure ministry programs operate effectively
• Create and manage fun events that attract teens of all interests, abilities and ages to the church
• Live an authentically Christian life and be an inspiration to the youth you are mentoring
• Share your personal testimony and encourage the discussions and questions that deepen faith

The Need

Christianity was strong in past generations, but today’s Germany is marred by a pervasive, pragmatic atheism. There are tens of millions of German citizens, yet only 5 percent make spirituality a part of their everyday lives. Even less —1.8 percent — know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. The Germany of today substitutes materialism, entertainment and status for spirituality. German youth are in desperate for role models who can show them the way how to true hope.

The Impact

ABWE works across Germany in regions and cities where there is little evangelical presence. As a youth ministry leader, you’ll spend time developing relationships with teens who are unfamiliar with the gospel. You can forever enrich the spiritual lives of Germany’s families by joining our team in Germany.
