The Opportunity

ABWE exists to fulfill the Great Commission by multiplying leaders, churches, and missions movements among every people.

As our Mobilizer, you’ll serve as a key representative of ABWE, identifying and engaging prospective missionaries and guiding them through the early stages of their missionary journey. Through thoughtful conversations and ongoing relationships, you’ll help individuals discern their calling, recognize their gifting, and explore ministry opportunities that align with both their personal profile and ABWE’s global ministry objectives.

This is a role for someone who is deeply relational and passionate about helping others take their next step in missions. Through conferences, churches, colleges, workshops, and other mobilization venues, you’ll inspire individuals to consider cross-cultural service while developing a strong pipeline of qualified missionary candidates.

What You’ll Do

  • Build relationships with prospective missionaries and encourage them as they explore service with ABWE.
  • Evaluate leads, help individuals identify ministry opportunities, and guide them toward appropriate next steps.
  • Coordinate with the Mobilization Applicant Coordinator to ensure a smooth transition from inquiry to application.
  • Represent ABWE at conferences, churches, colleges, workshops, and other recruitment events.
  • Speak, present, and participate in events that promote ABWE’s mission and ministry opportunities.
  • Maintain lead information and communication records in Rock RMS.
  • Connect prospective missionaries with appropriate ABWE teams, ministries, and leaders.
  • Strengthen lead-management processes, resources, and mobilization strategies.
  • Manage travel schedules, arrangements, and related expenses.
  • Collaborate with missionaries, ministry leaders, internal departments, and external mobilization partners.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in biblical studies, intercultural studies, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant supervised ministry experience.
  • Experience in spiritual mentorship and discipleship.
  • Cross-cultural ministry or international experience is highly preferred.
  • A strong understanding of Scripture and the biblical principles of world missions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Confidence in public speaking, teaching, and presenting to groups.
  • The ability to build relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Comfort using technology and maintaining accurate information in a CRM or database system.
  • The ability to maintain a heavy domestic travel schedule, with occasional international travel as needed.
  • The ability to successfully complete all required background checks and clearances mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
