Distance Learning Course
Our distance learning Methods of Bible Study course will give students the confidence and skills required to understand and apply any genre of scripture. The students will gain a discipleship tool for use in any context.
For this course, we use the textbook and workbook by J. Scott Duvall and J. Daniel Hays, titled Grasping God’s Word: A Hands-On Approach to Reading, Interpreting, and Applying the Bible (Zondervan, 2012), as well as the Zondervan NIV Exhaustive Concordance compiled by Goodrick and Kohlenberger (Zondervan, 1999). These books are available through Amazon.com and many other online book distribution sources. There are no exams associated with this course, but the course does include numerous hands-on Bible study exercises that you will work through with your individual course proctor.
There is a $200 flat fee for this course.

Note For Pre-Field Missionaries
Generally, a course in hermeneutics differs essentially from a course in Methods of Bible Study. We cannot accept hermeneutics for this requirement unless it can be demonstrated that the hermeneutics course did, in fact, cover the kind and amount of content generally included in a Methods of Bible Study course.
