The Position

We are seeking experienced pastors to provide pastoral care and mentorship to church planters across Ukraine. These individuals will work closely with church planters, offering spiritual encouragement, ministry support, and practical guidance as they establish and grow new churches. In addition to one-on-one mentorship, they will collaborate with a network of church planters, facilitating training, prayer, and strategic planning.

This role requires travel to various locations in Ukraine to visit church planters, assess their needs, and offer hands-on support. A strong pastoral heart, wisdom in church planting strategies, and the ability to navigate challenges with grace and discernment are essential. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in pastoral ministry or church planting. This position provides an incredible opportunity to strengthen the church in Ukraine by investing in those on the front lines of ministry.

The Need

Ukraine is in a season of both hardship and spiritual openness. The war has displaced millions, leading to an urgent need for new churches in areas where people have relocated. Church planters are stepping up to meet this need, often with limited resources and little formal support. Many face exhaustion, discouragement, and spiritual warfare as they seek to shepherd new congregations in challenging environments.

Without guidance and pastoral care, church planters risk burnout and isolation. A mentor who can walk alongside them—offering encouragement, Biblical wisdom, and practical insights—will help sustain and strengthen these new churches. By supporting church planters in their calling, this role directly impacts the growth and health of the Ukrainian church.

The Impact

Healthy church planters lead to healthy churches, and healthy churches lead to lasting gospel impact. By providing pastoral care and mentorship, this position helps ensure that church planters are spiritually strong, well-equipped, and able to persevere in their calling. Encouragement, accountability, and practical training will empower them to plant and lead thriving congregations that reach their communities with the gospel.

The ripple effect of this ministry is profound. As church planters receive care and guidance, they are better able to disciple believers, evangelize their communities, and train up new leaders. This position is not just about supporting individual pastors—it’s about ensuring that the gospel continues to spread throughout Ukraine, even in the midst of war and uncertainty.
