The Position
When a missionary field team envisions a project that would help provide meaningful ways for them to build relationships, bring development into new areas, and help meet needs within the community they are serving—ABWE Construction architects and engineers help analyze and develop a plan to bring those projects to fruition.
Projects can range from simple one-room churches and buildings, to maintaining and renovating current ministry properties, to complex multi-level medical and educational facilities.
The Construction Engineer will consult on and/or prepare plans and details for projects being constructed around the globe. You have the option of serving from where you currently live or relocating to a project site. Much of the plan work can be accomplished remotely for smaller projects. For larger, more complex projects, a combination of short-term travel and remote work may be necessary.
Once construction is ready to begin and throughout the process, our team works alongside volunteer and hired nationals, equipping and training them in the skills of building and maintaining the project. Our goal is to further demonstrate the love relationship of Christ in a very different way than these people may have ever experienced.
