International Outreach Leader

The Position

As the population in Japan continues to decline, workers from the rest of the world continue to increase. As one of the most industrialized parts of Japan, workers from China, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Brazil pour into the Kanto region for manufacturing and service industry jobs. We are looking for fellow missionaries who will commit time and effort to reach out to these workers. Many have some previous exposure to the Gospel and are more open than ever as they adjust to a new, and often difficult, environment.

The Need

The international community in Japan often struggles to fit in and be accepted. The challenges of language and a harsh work environment are made more difficult because family and friends are left behind. Many who were nominal Christians in their country hunger for the love and support of a local church.

We are looking for teammates with loving hearts and open hands to build deep relationships, and persevere in the face of many challenges. ABWE is growing the team in the Kanto region and is seeking missionaries equipped for church planting among the nations in the middle of one of the largest urban areas in the world.
