The Position
Assistant or intern needed for an established sports ministry focused on archery and/or fitness. Training is in a modern facility in the city center. Missionary trainers have a natural audience with trainees regarding their improvement goals, motivations, health, and values.
The Need
The assistant would help in the overseeing of the gym facility as well as instruction in basic archery and different fitness programs. Though not required, knowledge of a Muslim-majority context would be helpful. There are approximately 15 other American missionaries on this team (ministering in other capacities); this isn’t a pioneer assignment. However, this is in an unreached setting with less than 2% Christian in the general population.
The Impact
New believers in this area have little to no contextual understanding of biblical Christianity (less than 2% of the population is reached). Given the cultural flux of the region and new believers’ thirst for authentic, biblical knowledge, the church planter has the potential for significant individual impact.
