Bible/Theology Teachers

Ukraine

The Position

We are seeking Bible/Theology teachers who are willing to serve at a seminary in Kyiv or Odesa, equipping the next generation of Ukrainian church leaders. Due to the ongoing war and the drafting of many men, seminaries in Ukraine face a shortage of qualified teachers. This individual will help fill this critical gap by teaching courses in Biblical studies, theology, and pastoral ministry.

This role is essential for strengthening the Ukrainian church during a time of crisis. The teachers will invest in students through lectures, mentoring, and practical ministry training, preparing them for pastoral and leadership roles. A typical week may include teaching classes, meeting with students for discipleship, and collaborating with local churches to support ministry efforts. Candidates must have at least a Master of Divinity degree and preferably some years of ministry experience. A heart for training and equipping church leaders is essential, as this position directly impacts the future of the Ukrainian church.

The Need

The war in Ukraine has created a leadership crisis within the church. Many pastors and seminary students have been drafted, leaving seminaries struggling to find qualified teachers who can continue training the next generation of Christian leaders. Without strong theological education, churches risk becoming spiritually weak and unprepared to meet the challenges of ministry in a time of national crisis.

Ukraine has long been a center for evangelical theological education in Eastern Europe. Many Ukrainian pastors and missionaries are trained locally before going on to plant churches and serve in various ministries. By filling this teaching role, a Bible/Theology teacher will ensure that Ukrainian believers continue to receive solid Biblical training, strengthening both the local church and gospel outreach in the region.

The Impact

Training church leaders is essential to fulfilling the Great Commission, and theological education plays a key role in equipping pastors, missionaries, and Christian workers for faithful service. By serving in a Ukrainian seminary, a Bible/Theology teacher will help ensure that future leaders are well-grounded in Scripture and prepared for ministry, even in the midst of war.

The impact of this role extends beyond the classroom. Seminary graduates will go on to plant churches, disciple believers, and bring the gospel to unreached areas, both in Ukraine and beyond. By investing in theological education now, we are not only strengthening today’s church but also laying the foundation for future generations of Christian leaders who will stand firm in their faith and advance the gospel in a time of great need.
