Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh is building for the future, and it needs people who can build. New staff housing, a primary school, and a Bible college are planned, alongside renovations to the existing hospital. If you can manage a project or work a trade, your hands can help expand the reach of the gospel.
The Opportunity
Memorial Christian Hospital opened a new multi-level hospital building, and the team is now planning how to use the rest of the campus for ministry. Plans include renovating the existing hospital and constructing new staff housing, a primary school, and a Bible college, all to expand the influence of the gospel in the region.
The Need
The project needs skilled people in construction project management and the building trades, and the campus needs several facility maintenance managers.
Skills needed:
- Construction project management – Lead and work with local contractors and tradespeople, with help from translators. Strong in leadership, project organization, and financial tracking.
- Construction trades – Use a specific trade and lead local workers to carry out the work.
- Facility maintenance – Lead a team of local maintenance staff in caring for the campus and hospital.
The Logistics
Dates: ongoing, with short-term, mid-term, and long-term assignments.
Application and costs: every worker goes through ABWE’s application and onboarding process. Depending on length of service, some training may be required. Each person raises the support needed to live and serve in Bangladesh.
