At ABWE, we want to take a moment to express our deep appreciation for pastors and their incredible impact on the global mission of the church. We know the role of a pastor is demanding—often requiring wisdom, strength, and emotional resilience during some of life’s most challenging moments.
In this special video message, ABWE President Paul Davis reflects on the profound responsibility pastors carry. From providing guidance during times of grief to investing countless hours in shepherding your congregation, you sacrifice much for the sake of the gospel. Many of you give up time with your families, your own personal goals, and sometimes even financial stability, all to answer the calling God has placed on your life.
The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Timothy 5:17: “Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.”
Paul Davis extends that honor to you. As you faithfully preach, teach, and train up the next generation of leaders, you are not only impacting your local church—you are also holding the ropes for ABWE missionaries around the world. By identifying and encouraging others to use their gifts for God’s kingdom, you are helping spread the gospel to the farthest corners of the globe.
From all of us at ABWE, we want to say thank you. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and may he give you strength and joy in your ministry. You are appreciated, and we are praying for you this Pastor Appreciation Month.
