Earlier this summer, more than 50 pastors and their families gathered in South Asia for a joyful occasion: the first graduation of the Church Planters’ Institute.
It was a day of celebration. Soon these graduates will begin planting and strengthening churches throughout the region.
The ceremony took place in tents—not because anyone wanted it that way, but because the ministry center beside them is still unfinished.
That picture captures both what God has already done and what still remains.
Last year, the Lord provided a permanent property for this growing ministry. Through the generosity of faithful supporters, a decades-long prayer became reality. The team now has a place to serve from, train leaders, and establish a long-term gospel witness.
But owning the property was only the beginning.
The existing building still needs to be renovated and furnished before it can fully serve the ministries planned for it.
Right now, the team continues serving however they can. They’ve hosted conferences outdoors in extreme heat. They’ve discipled believers in unfinished rooms. They’ve made use of every available space while waiting for construction to continue.
Even so, some opportunities simply require finished facilities.
The growing church plant still meets in rented space each week. Future classes of church planters need classrooms, lodging, and meeting space. Children in the surrounding community need a permanent place for academic tutoring. Plans for an evangelistic medical clinic and crisis pregnancy counseling center remain on hold until the upper floors are complete.
Completing the ministry center will help all of these ministries move forward together.
The remaining renovation, construction, and furnishing will cost approximately $320,000.
That’s a significant need.
It’s also an opportunity.
Every completed classroom will help prepare future church planters. Every finished meeting space will strengthen local churches. Every ministry operating from this building will exist for the same purpose: making disciples and establishing healthy churches where Christ is not yet known.
Buildings do not advance the gospel by themselves. People do.
Throughout Scripture, God often provides ordinary means that allow his people to carry out extraordinary work. A permanent place to worship, train leaders, disciple believers, and serve the community is one of those gifts.
As these graduates prepare to plant churches across South Asia, we’re praying that this ministry center will become a place that equips many more men and women for faithful ministry in the years ahead.
