Why Pray at 9:38?

We’re inviting you to join our new prayer plan for the nations.

“[T]herefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:38 ESV)

We’re called to fulfill the Great Commission by multiplying leaders, churches, and missions movements among every people.

According to the Joshua Project, 3.24 billion people on planet earth are still unreached. They have no access to the gospel of Jesus Christ. To get the gospel to them, we need to send laborers.

We believe the local church is God’s “plan A” for reaching the unreached. We are committed to helping the church accomplish this task.

That’s why we recently launched the 9:38 prayer initiative. We are asking you to join us.

Set a daily alarm for 9:38 am or pm. When the alarm goes off, pray Matthew 9:38, where Jesus urged his disciples to “pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Our plan is to gather urgent prayer requests, communicate needs through weekly prayer devotionals, and assemble warriors to pray at online and in-person meetings. The goal is to ignite Great Commission prayer—to help the church mobilize and send laborers into the harvest fields.

Reaching the unreached for Christ requires a team effort. Let’s join hands and fold them in prayer together. And let’s ask God to do a great work.
