Daniel fled his home in Arequipa, Peru when he was 12 years old, after his drunken father threatened to kill him with a kitchen knife.
Over the next decade, Daniel became an alcoholic like his father, spending most his nights drinking in bars or alone in his room.
Then he started going to church with the goal of disproving Christianity. But when Christ transformed his heart, Daniel ended up getting more than he had bargained for.
